Day 1 Yangon

As you touch down in Myanmar, we will take the stress out of leaving Yangon International. One of our friendly tour guide will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Your morning will start with a sightseeing walking tour in downtown Yangon; Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Colonial Buildings of Yangon, Independence monument, Scott Market for a little shopping.

After lunch, visiting the largest reclining Buddha Image in Myanmar, Chaukhtat Gyi. Later we’ll escape the crowds to the scenic surrounds of Kandawagyi Park with its graceful lake, and superb panoramic view of Shwedagon across over the blue lake. The day will be wrapped up with heading to two Pagoda’s. Firstly the Shwedagon – 99m, gilded with pure gold leaves. This is the most revered Buddhist shrine in Myanmar. Lastly we’ll explore the Botataung Pagoda and the daily lives of people around Yangon River. We’ll drop off at your hotel to get a well deserved rest before day two.

Day 2 Yangon-Bagan

Rise and shine, we have a flight to Bagan. Sightseeing ancient Bagan highlights includes Nyaung Oo Market, 11th century Shwezigon Pagoda, Kyansitthar U Min, Gubyuakgyi temple & Lacquerware workshop. Visit Ananda Temple, Thatbyinnyu Temple, Damayangyi Temple. Enjoy the sunset at Bupaya Pagoda or Shwe San Daw Pagoda.

Overnight stay in Bagan.

Day 3 Bagan-Mt. Popa

Overland journey to Mt. Popa by car. Mt. Popa, climb 777 steps of extinct volcano, which is the home for the 37 Nats (Spirits). And then sightseeing in Bagan.

Day 4 Bagan-Mandalay

Fly to Mandalay in the early morning, Arrive Mandalay, visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, excursion in local artisan’s workshops of gold leaf making, woodcarving. Sightseeing includes Shwe Nandaw (Golden Palace) wooden Monastery, Mandalay Palace, Kuthodaw Pagoda – known as the world’s largest book made of marble. Enjoy sunset at Mandalay hill.

Day 5 Mandalay

After breakfast, visit Mahagandayon monastery, visit silk weaving work shop and U Bein Bridge.

In the afternoon, embark for boat ride and visit former Royal Capital Inwa (AVA) by horse cart.  Nan Myint Watching Tower, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monostery and Bagayar Monastery.  Continue to Sagaing Hills.

Overnight stay in Mandalay.

Day 6 Mandalay-Heho- Inle Lake

Fly to Heho in the morning.  And then drive to Nyaung Shwe and on the way visit Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery.  And then visit to Red Mountain Estate Vineyards & Winery.  When you arrive Nyaung Shwe, transfer by boat to your hotel on the lake.

Day 7 Inle Lake

After breakfast, a full day excursion by boat on the Inle Lake.  And then visit Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, the weaving village of Inpawkhon.

Day 8 Inle Lake-Yangon

After breakfast, visit to Inn Dein pagoda complex.  And drive back from Nyaung Shwe to Heho for Yangon.

Day 9 Yangon (Departure)

In the morning, transfer to Yangon International Airport.
