Ngapali Beach is an unspoiled, sleepy beach holiday destination situated in the Bay of Bengal with white sand and crystal clear water. Yet undiscovered by the masses, it’s a place where time stands still, allowing you to simply “switch off” and recharge your batteries. Pronounced ‘Napally’, it’s rumoured to be named after the Italian city of Naples and it’s palm-tree lined coast won’t dissappoint.
For those who can tear themselves away from their sunbed and cocktail, there are other activities to be enjoyed. These include taking trips on local fishing boats; kayaking; snorkeling or scuba diving amongst the brightly coloured fish; and cycling or motorbiking down the beach and around some of the local fishing villages. The Ngapali Water Sport Centre website has more information about water sports, and for golf enthusiasts there is also an 18-hole golf course nearby.
